All Countries – Listen to Katharine Birbalsingh

Katharine Birbalsingh, CBE is a British teacher and education reform advocate who is the founder and Headmistress of Michaela Community School in London. She is author of multiple books, including Michaela: The Power of Culture. This talk was given on Day 3 of the ARC (Alliance for Responsible Citizenship) Conference 2023, as she is discussing what it would take to rebuild the social fabric.

Many teachers leave teaching because of the growing “victim” culture. Katharine has been able to identify and articulate the problem, which most teachers struggle to do. She expresses her concerns of entitlement, a lack of leadership and focus, and the leftist brand “compassion.”

Her meaningful words are full of wisdom. This ARC conference is showing everyone that there are still people fighting for what is right through common sense and letting their voices of knowledge be heard.

More schools throughout the world should take some lessons from what Katharine has to say about her methods of teaching.
