Driver charged following fatal collision in Bulleen

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal collision in Bulleen yesterday.

It is alleged a truck and van collided at the intersection of Manningham and Bulleen roads about 5.40am

The driver of the van, a 53-year-old Bulleen woman died at the scene.

A passenger in the van, a 63-year-old Tarneit woman is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

The driver of the truck, a 28-year-old Wollert man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and disobey traffic light.

He has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on Friday 9 August.
