Tender for Sediment Removal at Streeton Views Reserve Wetland

Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and capable contractors for the Streeton Views Reserve Sediment Pond Desilting, 1 Arthur Streeton Dr, Yallambie VIC 3085.

Tender # 1145-2021 | Closing: 1/09/2021 15:00 AEST | Released: 7/08/2021 00:00 AEST | Type: RFT

As part of Banyule City Council’s Capital Works Program, council is planning to undertake desilting of an existing Council sedimentation pond.

The sedimentation pond is part of the local stormwater network and currently removes sedimentation and pollutants from passing into the larger system. Since construction, the sedimentation pond has collected silt from the local catchment which is designed to settle in the pond before flowing into the adjacent pond to the east, and then subsequently into Melbourne Water underground drainage. The sedimentation in this pond has been tested and is Class C material due to presence of substantial levels of zinc.

As part of the Council’s wetland maintenance the sedimentation pond is to be dredged of the silt build up and the pond is to be returned to the original baseline levels. The silt is to be removed and disposed of off site at a suitable disposal facility at the contractors cost and the wetland replanted and made good for regrowth back to it’s original state pre maintenance reconstruction.

Tenders in response to this RFT must be lodged electronically only, via “Tender Response” tab on the Council’s e-Tender Portal used to register and download tenders (https://www.eprocure.com.au/banyule) by the time and date stated above.
